What is Helping Hands for Seniors TC?

Helping Hands for Seniors TC (Helping Hands) is a collaborative project among the Richland Seniors Association (RSA), the RSA Intercommunity Planning Group (IPG), and Active4Life (A4L) created in response to the COVID- 19 crisis.

How Does Helping Hands Work?

There are four elements of the project:

❖ Identification to Helping Hands of isolated seniors through referrals from organizations or individuals, or direct contact by those seniors;

❖ Determination through the referral process of the needs of these seniors;

❖ Creation and maintenance of an inventory of food and essentials to fulfill needs as they are determined;

❖ Delivery of the needed items to the isolated seniors in a safe manner.
